1 Corinthians 14:13
Print
Therefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may [be gifted to] translate or explain [what he says].
Therefore, the person who speaks in an [unknown] tongue should pray [for the power] to interpret and explain what he says.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Therefore the person who speaks in a tongue should pray that he can interpret.
Therefore, those who speak in a tongue should pray to be able to interpret.
Therefore someone who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
When we speak languages that others don't know, we should pray for the power to explain what we mean.
Wherefore let him that speaks with a tongue pray that he may interpret.
Therefore let the one speaking in a tongue pray in order that he might interpret.
And therefore he that speaketh by a tongue, let him pray that he may interpret.
So those who have the gift of speaking in a different language should pray that they can also interpret what they say.
So, if you speak a message in a different language, you should pray to God about it. Pray that you may be able to explain to people what the message means.
That is why a person who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
[L Therefore] The one who has the gift of ·speaking in a different language [or ecstatic utterance; L tongues] should pray for the gift to interpret what is spoken.
Wherefore, let him that speaketh a strange tongue, pray that he may interpret.
So the person who speaks in another language should pray for an interpretation of what he says.
The person who speaks in strange tongues, then, must pray for the gift to explain what is said.
Therefore the person who speaks in another language should pray that he can interpret.
The one who has the gift of speaking in a different language should pray that he can also interpret what he says.
Therefore, the person who speaks in a foreign language should pray for the ability to interpret it.
So, with yourselves, since you are so eager to possess spiritual gifts, concentrate your ambition upon receiving those which make for the real growth of your church. And that means if one of your number speaks with a “tongue”, he should pray that he may be able to interpret what he says.
Therefore, let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may translate.
Therefore the one who speaks in a tongue must pray that he may interpret.
If someone is given the gift of speaking in unknown tongues, he should pray also for the gift of knowing what he has said, so that he can tell people afterwards plainly.
So, when you pray in your private prayer language, don’t hoard the experience for yourself. Pray for the insight and ability to bring others into that intimacy. If I pray in tongues, my spirit prays but my mind lies fallow, and all that intelligence is wasted. So what’s the solution? The answer is simple enough. Do both. I should be spiritually free and expressive as I pray, but I should also be thoughtful and mindful as I pray. I should sing with my spirit, and sing with my mind. If you give a blessing using your private prayer language, which no one else understands, how can some outsider who has just shown up and has no idea what’s going on know when to say “Amen”? Your blessing might be beautiful, but you have very effectively cut that person out of it.
Let him who speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
For this reason, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he will be able to interpret.
So the person who speaks in another language should pray for an interpretation of what he says.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray to be able to interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue is to pray that he may interpret.
Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
Therefore, anyone who speaks in tongues should pray for the ability to interpret.
The one who has the gift of speaking in a different language should pray for the gift to interpret what is spoken.
So then, one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
So here is what the person who speaks in languages they had not known before should do. They should pray that they can explain what they say.
For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.
For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.
Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
So the man who speaks in special sounds should pray for the gift to be able to tell what they mean.
So anyone who speaks in tongues should pray also for the ability to interpret what has been said.
Therefore let him who speaks in an unknown tongue pray such that he may interpret also.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
So the one who speaks in a tongue should pray to be able to say the same thing in clear speech.
Therefore, the speaker in a lashon (tongue), let him offer tefillos that he may give the pitron (interpretation).
Therefore, let him who speaks a tongue, pray that he may interpret.
Therefore, he who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
Therefore, he who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
So anyone who speaks in an unknown language should pray for the ability to interpret
Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
So then, the person who talks in a tongue of a different language, should ask God to help tell the meaning of the tongue.
And therefore he that speaketh in language, pray, that he expound. [And therefore he that speaketh in tongue, pray, that he interpret, or expound.]
wherefore he who is speaking in an [unknown] tongue -- let him pray that he may interpret;
